Introduction to The Argument Against Evil

Let’s start off with a scary (but true) fact:

In an Article published in June 2023 by Forbes, Forbes concluded from a poll conducted in May 2022 that 71% of Americans believe that gay and lesbian marriage is “morally acceptable”. How scary is that? That means that out of every 10 people that you see on the street, 7.1 of them think that same-sex marriage is morally acceptable. And this was just in May 2022. In the time that has gone by, there’s no doubt in my mind that this number hasn’t gone up even more than what it was when that poll was conducted.

Throughout history, when problems arose that couldn’t be solved by one person/group of people, people came together and made documents refuting these problems. The Apostles Creed came about during a time of heresy and false teachings were a major problem in the Church. Martin Luther posted his theses when the Catholic had abused its power. America declared independence during a time of false taxation and morals. In the 21st century there are a host of major problems in the world, but the glaring one as of late is LGBTQ. So I will ask you a single question: Besides a small amount of YouTube videos, what major document has been made refuting LGBTQ? That’s what I want this collection to be.

This is going to be a collection of essays refuting as many possible arguments for LGBTQ as I can. If you’ve debated against LGBTQ as much as I have, then you may have come to realize that many of them use similar questions, and some use unique ones. I want to answer all of these in these essays. This should not only train and empower Christians to be able to say the right things in argument, but it should also provide a refute to people who believe that LGBTQ is morally acceptable.

I would also like to note that these essays will reach far beyond morales and LGBTQ. Something I’ve learned in debating this topic is that if you can convince a person that the topic at hand is morally and biblically incorrect, then providing you argue using sound biblical doctrine,  you can convince them not only that there is a higher power (i.e God), but also on various issues such as Free Will and other areas. This is a very in depth topic that requires a lot of thinking, so pull up a chair and some coffee, and let’s begin.
